Green Lents Community Tool Library

Green Lents has been providing free tools of all kinds to the communities of outer SE Portland since 2013. Critical Creative has proudly supported Green Lents with signage for various signage projects, social media content & advising, and communication tool integration.
We recently completed a language-free navigation system to open up the library environment to the 90+ spoken languages of the Lents community. The navigation system connects to an online tool resource hub with translation for over 100 languages, developed with Version Two. The resource hub includes tool safety tips, repair guides, and video resources.
Greater Portland Tool Library Initiative
Our passion for resource sharing and community development has opened our hearts and minds to the possibilities of collaboration. We are building a network to strengthen and support tool libraries throughout the Willamette Valley and beyond. Critical Creative has developed a PDX Tool Library map and is working to better integrate outreach and funding efforts for these amazing resources.
Rockwood Common
Our latest venture is extending the tool library network into east Multnomah County. The focal point is the historically marginalized community of Rockwood in west Gresham, Oregon. Working with local partners, we are developing a community tool library and seeking a property for a community woodshop and garden resource center to host enrichment opportunities and workshops for this densely populated and diverse community.
